Fume Trip II...

Okdoke, so a few week's ago I was on the hunt for a new scent. I had gone on and on about Fracas to my partner in crime and how much I needed it in my life. So we decided to make a trip to Miami.  His list was short:  Creed Aventus and me well,  Fracas was on the list but of course, my list was wayyy longer.

Our first stop was good ole' Nordy's at Aventura Mall. I admit it  had a pretty decent fragrance area. I was very happy to see the La Labo bar. The girl who assisted me was excellent. I do love me some good customer service and I thought she delivered well. She took time to explain the different scents and even shared her favorite. I knew I wanted to try "rose 31" and am definitely a bit late to that party. It was my favorite out of the scents but not enough to make me want to purchase it on the spot. The little sample is a good reminder though that I will revisit again at a later date.

The next stop was Jo Malone. I haven't jumped on this train yet. My mom wears the Peony & Blush Suede (but only winter time) and thats about the size of it. SO I was excited to smell the collection and the guy was just as excited (haha) to show me them. In fact a bit, because he was just spraying each one left and right and before I knew it I was headed down the slippery slope of migraine-ville.

I was in a serious cloud of roses, sea salt and everything in between. I found "J" and said "We gotta get out of here!". I needed to clear my head. All the delicious scents kind of got a bit muffled. It also occurred to me that maybe I should start carry my own jar of coffee beans. Btw, "J" did get a moment at the Creed counter. Enjoying every minute of it and declaring, "Yes, Aventus is my new scent!"

Once the air cleared, we checked out the Macy's too. Chanel, Cartier and Dior. Still nothing that made me say, Yes I need this today. We drove to Bal Harbour to lunch at Zodiac's. We headed down to the Fragrance section. I felt refreshed and ready to go on my hunt again. Only to be overwhelmed with the Sales Associates. I was literally followed which became more of a distraction. I did not want face cream I wanted my next fragrance....Agh!!! I had to just say, "Tell me your name and I will find you!" Unfortunately, one was replaced with another one as I rounded the corner. While I appreciate good customer service, I do not appreciate desperation. I know the pressure they have-that, you can literally smell and that's just not a good scent.

There, I tried Estee Lauder Rouge (in love- was very on the border of buying it that day) but postponed because I wanted to check out Sak's,

I have to say when I entered the Sak's fragrance department I heard angels' sing. I was in my glory. There I found what I was looking for, Fracas itself. Unfortunately, I was nauseated and over done in the fragrance department like a child who went to the candy shop and ate everything they could get their hands on.
