What have I been smelling lately...

It's been awhile since my last blog post. Epic fail! That said, I am posting tonight. Thinking back over this past year I have bought ALOT of fragrance. ALOT! Here's some that captured my nose...(they may not necessarily be a 2017 launch actually none of them are and I'm totally okay with that!)

1. Stella by Stella McCartney...still one of my favorites. I loved it back when it launched moons ago and love it even more today.

2. Dior Addict-EDP

3. Derek Lam Crosby 10 fragrance set-10 delicious fragrances that fit perfectly in any clutch or travel bag.

4. Philopsophy Falling in Love-reminds me of cotton candy.

5. Chanel No. 5 -my pnj (pride and joy)-always classic ever so chic.

#SOTD: TABU by DANA

So I am going to try to post every Friday my SOTD. (I feel like a elephant just parked itself on me and is cutting off my oxygen as I type this determination out) ...Anyway, today's scent is TABU by Dana. I have seen this on Instagram and realized I had never smelled this. I decided to give it a try ...My first inhale made me think this smells a lot like Ciara mixed with incense and honey. TABU is a strong powerful Oritental Chypre of Jasmine, Rich Rose, Orange Blossom, Amber, Musk, and Vetiver. Circa 1930's.

Supposedly, this was made for a woman of the evening by Jean Carles. I don't know if this fragrance helped with her line of work or not. One thing for sure, it certainly is a memorable scent. While I will be in no hurry to order an extra of this any time soon,  I am glad it is an addition to my collection-making me one satisfied customer.

Up my Nose...Blind Buy Time!!!

Confession: I love me a good perfume blind buy. I get a tiny little thrill like when I win $5 from a scratch-off.

I recently bought Delicious Cotton Candy as a blind buy. Gail Hayman fragrances will always be a mystery to me. While I am still wondering what is so delicious about "Delicious" it hasn't stopped me from trying others. First of all, I am a huge fan of cotton candy itself. It's pink, fluffy and is well, delicious. So when I saw this particular box I couldn't resist. It could also have something to do with the fact that I was hungry too...but I digress.

First whiff, made me think this smells a lot like  Aqualina Pink Sugar. (Apparently, I'm not the only one who thought that-lol) As I sit here and write, I find myself sniffing my wrist again and again wishing I was at a Carnival. With notes of  orange, bergamot, clementine, cotton candy, lily of the valley, fig leaves, brown sugar, strawberry, plum, licorice, vanilla, caramel, cedarwood and musk any sweet tooth or should I dare say, "Sweet nose" (cheesy I know)  can see the instant attraction. My goodness how I wish this was edible.

Delicious Cotton Candy was launched in 2007.

My thoughts: This was a winner ***Definitely a keeper!***, the economical version of Aqualina Pink Sugar.

Stay tuned for my next fume trip...
