REVIEW...ANDY WARHOL FRAGRANCES...
If you follow me on Instagram at TheBeauTeaParlor, you would have seen my recent posts of the Andy Warhol fragrances. If you are curious about them read on...
The first perfume is Andy Warhol's POP pour femme...I am attracted to everything about this from the packaging, to the bottle to the scent itself. (I'll be honest I'm not a big Oriental fragrance fan but there's something so electrifying in this ) ...
POP pour femme can be considered a dupe or a very close cousin to the infamous "Electric Youth" ... I am so intrigued by this quirky cocktail of sour cherry, sandalwood, musk, tiare flower and rose. When I was a kid my cousin told me to keep my Electric Youth in the fridge for a "cool spritz" But with POP pour femme this is cool enough all on its own...
Next fragrance, "Andy Warhol" by Andy Warhol is my favorite out of the four. The top notes are: black currant, peach, bergamot, green notes, sea notes, litchi. But its the middle notes that speak to me-rose, osmanthus, jasmine, and violet. The base notes whisper of musk, sandalwood and heliotrope. I love this one so much that I will be buying a back-up.
"Marilyn Bleu" is not my favorite and not my least favorite either. It just simply is. It doesn't jump out nor does it quietly pounce later on. Honestly it's just not a strong performer. That being said, it is part of the collection so I had to have it. Top notes: peach and black currant. The middles notes jasmine and rose. The base notes are amber ,woody notes and sandalwood. I always like to believe that somewhere down the road I will end up rediscovering fragrances that don't win my heart initially. Hoping this will be one of them.
"Marilyn Red" this is definitely my least favorite. Period. While I adore rose, jasmine, black currant and sandalwood notes this was not an immediately love at first sight. I confess I was really disappointed, because I love rose fragrances. I have sprayed it again and feel over time I may change my mind. I'm 99% sure of it. I noticed with both "Bleu" and "Red" the more I smell them the more I get a different read on them.
Overall, I really love the packaging of all the scents. The bottles are fun and playful. Two I will definitely wear now and hopefully feel the same about the other two in the future! Would I recommend these? Absolutely! These are all easy on the wallet so it's not a huge risk if one or two doesn't work out for you.
